Employees
at the Ripley County Courthouse were greeted
Monday morning by other county employees who
were busy clearing off the sidewalks around
the courthouse after several inches of snow
and ice pelted the area on Sunday, January
25. All the area schools were closed on Monday
due to the winter blast. Road crews from both
the state and county were busy getting the
roadways cleared on Monday morning, but there
were still slick places to be reckoned with
as motorists made their way to their respective
jobs on Monday. Numbers to call for road conditions
when traveling in the tri state area are: 1-800-261-ROAD
for Indiana; 1-866-RD REPORT for Kentucky;
and 1-888-264-ROAD for Ohio.
