Holbrook found guilty of murder
Wanda English Burnett - Editor

Roger D. Holbrook was found guilty of murdering his ex-wife Barbara Holbrook after a jury in Dearborn County heard evidence on the case earlier this month.

Holbrook was a fugitive following the murder and was arrested the night the case aired on America's Most Wanted in May of last year.

The shooting death of Barbara Holbrook actually occurred at her Yorkville home in November of 2002, with Roger Holbrook fleeing and being a free man until May of 2003.

The Dearborn County Sheriff's Department along with Indiana State Police Crime Scene Investigators were praised for their excellent detective work in the case and jurors felt they had enough evidence to convict Holbrook on the murder charge. He was also found guilty of invasion of privacy.

The murder charge is a Class A felony and carries a penalty of 45 to 65 years in prison.
