Application for garage tabled
BZA approves request for storage buildings

Third time's a charm for Adolfo and Celeste Manriquez. The Ripley County Board of Zoning Appeals approved their requests for storage buildings at 7040 N. State Road 101 at Negangard's Corner, at their regular meeting held March 30.

At the last meeting, their request was tabled to correct the dimensions on their drawings. It had also been tabled two months ago until a proper Power of Attorney could be produced. The Manriquez's requested a variance to build the storage units 40' from the road instead of the required 80'. They also needed a Special Exception to place storage buildings in the Road Side Business District.

Michael D. Mathews application for a variance to permit construction of a private garage in Holton was tabled because the cards notifying adjoining neighbors had not been returned. Attorney John Ertel gave a
monthly update on zoning violators.

All five board members were in attendance: Charles Rohlfing, Sue French, Sam Row, Dennis McKittrick and Roger Lang. Planning Director Tad Brinson and Attorney John Ertel were present to advise the board.

The next meeting of the Ripley County Board of Zoning Appeals will be held on April 29, at 7:00 p.m. at the Commissioner's Room in the Courthouse Annex.
