For the second straight
year the Damon Bailey Barnstorming Tour stopped
in Ripley County. This year the tour stopped
in Milan to compete against a team constructed
by Milan High School teacher Rod Snapp.
The Barnstorming Tour is a tour
put together by former Indiana University player
Damon Bailey with other former IU players and
they travel across the state and play scrimmage
games against local teams. Players on Bailey's
team this year are former IU players A.J. Moye,
George Leach and Tom Coverdale. Other players
included former Jac-Cen-Del standout Brad Borgman,
Josh Allen, Jason Stewart and Travis Inman.
The Milan team was made up of Rod
Snapp, Milan seniors Rex Parker, Matt Swisher
and Stephan Laub, Emory Ogletree and Sidney
Williams from Cincinnati, Ishmieal Kamara from Columbus, Ohio and
Brenden Stavers from Northern Kentucky University.
Milan's Rex Parker had a chance
to tie the game at the end of regulation but
missed the three-pointer, which allowed the Barnstorming
team to walk away with the 112-109 victory.
A.J. Moye led all scorers with
33 points. Tom Coverdale was next on the Barnstorming
team with 25 followed by Brad Borgman with 18,
George Leach with 15, Josh Allen and Jason Stewart
with 8 apiece, Travis Inman with 5 and Damon
Bailey with 2.
NKU's Brenden Stavers led the Milan
team with 25 points followed by Sidney Williams
with 23, Ishmieal Kamara with 22, Emory Ogletree
with 18, Rex Parker with 15 and Rod Snapp with
