Rick Pollard of Versailles was recently inducted into the Ohio Bowling Hall of Fame in just his first year on the ballot. Pollard is part of the family who owns and operates Pollards Bowl in Versailles.

He was selected to the Ohio Hall of Fame, because when his family bought the bowling alley in 1971 it was a part of the Greater Cincinnati Bowling Association and they left it that way through the years.

As well as being in the Ohio Hall of Fame, Pollard was also inducted into the Cincinnati Hall of Fame in May of 2001. He is also currently on the National Hall of Fame Ballot, which is located in St. Louis, MO. Joining Rick on the National and State Ballots is brother Ron. They are two of only seven, non-pro mem
bers on the National Ballot. Only 138 Bowlers are currently in the Hall of Fame.

During Rick's career he has accomplished many feats including winning 18 State and Regional Championship Titles, 23 Local and Area Championship Titles, one ABC National Title and one International Championship Title. He has set 2 ABC National Tournament Records and is currently sixth in the world on the 20 year average list at 209.6. He bowled 21 sanctioned 300 games, 9 sanctioned 800 series' and has one Professional Regional Title in the St. Louis Budweiser Open.

He will officially be inducted into the Ohio Hall of Fame on November 6 in Columbus, Ohio at Monaco's Place. In attendance with him will be his wife Vicky and two children Chris and Erica.
