At the regular meeting of the Napoleon Town Board
on May 12, it was reported that there had been some vandalism
at the Napoleon Senior Center. The door latches on the front
and side door had been broken.
In other business:
· The Department of Commerce will
make a site visit to Napoleon regarding their request for a
drainage study for the town. The board took an official position
it would not address any individual
- Heavy trash pick up was
deemed a success;
· All members of the council will attend a leadership
conference at Rising Sun;
· Patriotic decorations will be put up throughout the
town before Memorial Day;
An open house will be held when the community center is completed.
That will be announced at a drainage problems, but look at
the town as a whole. The board removed sand bags from a culvert
on Harrison Street which were blocking the waterway.
· Utility Superintendent Rod Eaton and the town board
members will attend a program on May 19, sponsored by the Operator's
Association, entitled, "Saving the Lagoons." The
speaker will be Don Mink.
· Representatives from the Napoleon 4-H Country Club
appeared before the board. Their club is getting so large,
about 70 members, they are thinking about splitting off into
two groups. They wanted to know about having both meetings
at the Napoleon Senior Center. All the board asked for was
that the meetings both be held on the same Sunday, so the facility
could be rented the other weeks.
All three board members were present - Tim Brancamp, Bill
Vankirk, and Gerry Linarducci. Clerk Treasurer Karen Rohlfing
was also present.
The next regular meeting of the Napoleon Town Board is scheduled
for June 9, at 7:00 p.m. at the Napoleon Senior Center.
