Income Surveys need to be completed in Napoleon
Cathy May - Contributing Writer

The Town of Napoleon is trying to get a grant to study the water problems in the town but are not getting the cooperation they need from their citizens.

The first step in the process is to gather information from Income Surveys that each citizen received. In order to comply, they need more than 90 surveys completed. To date, they have only 61 turned in. So the town board members are going to personally contact every Napoleon resident who has not turned in a survey in order to get this part of the grant requirement completed.

Surelock Security has repaired and replaced the locks on the Napoleon Senior Citizen Center which were damaged by vandalism. The cost was $274.86.

The new Christmas lights have arrived. Twelve new Christmas lights have been purchase for the town. The total cost of the lights is $4,323.00. The Osgood Lions Club has agreed to purchase one of the lights for the town.

In other business:

· The board voted to accept the County's Comprehensive Plan.

· They will look into a grass mowing ordinance, and

· The Health Department will be called in over a residence with no running water.

All three board members were in attendance: Tim Brancamp, Bill Vankirk, and Gerry Linarducci. Clerk Treasurer Karen Rohlfing was there to advise the board.

The next meeting of the Napoleon Town Board will be held on July 14, at 7:00 p.m. at the Napoleon Senior Center.
