South Ripley grad, Joel Pflum will be competing against Indiana University's 2004 recruiting class at Southwestern High School in Hanover in an exhibition game on Friday, August 6.. The game will be following a clinic the recruits are putting on for boys and girls in grades K-8 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The price of the clinic is $20, which includes admission to the game.

The game is scheduled to start around 7:00 pm, which will include recruits such as Indiana's Mr. Basketball A.J. Ratliff, D.J. White, Robert Vaden, Robert Rothbart plus transfers Marco Killingsworth and Lewis Monroe.

Joining Pflum will be Madison's Norman Wells, T.H. South's (Louisville, KY) Armon Bassett, Austin's Jeremy Holland, Brownstown Central's Clint Parker and North Montgomery's Brice Murphy. Cost for game-only admission will be $5.00

JCD Ballers win 3 on 3 Tournament

Four basketball players from Jac-Cen-Del won the 11-13 age division at the 3 on 3 Hips Hoops Basketball Tournament in Greensburg, advancing to compete in the next tournament in Indianapolis. The team is made up of (left to right) Matt Gehl, Tim Arnett, Shane Adams and Blake Sutton.
