Napoleon board hears idea for land development
Cathy May - Contributing Writer

Paul Morris, who owns 25 acres of ground adjoining the town of Napoleon, came to the Napoleon Town Board meeting to discuss development of the land. Morris said he would like to put about 20 homes on the property similar to the homes on the six acres he previously sold. Water is already on the property which is zoned Residential-1. The board members gave Morris a positive response to his project. Annexation of the property would be the first step in making gas and sewer lines available. There will be further discussions on the matter in the future.

The deadline for the town to have the Income Surveys completed in or
der to get a planning grant for a storm sewer study is August 16. They have 74 returned and still need 16 to complete the requirement. Town board members will continue to call upon those who have not completed the form in order to meet the deadline.

The town received a bill from the State Board of Accounts for their three-year audit for $2,926.00. Bids will be let for paving two roads in town: Wilson Street and Harrison.

All three board members, Tim Brancamp, Bill Vankirk and Gerry Linnarducci were present for the meeting. Clerk-Treasurer Karen Rohlfing was present to advise the board. The next meeting will be held on September 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the Napoleon Senior Center.
