Versailles police make drug arrests

According to Versailles Town Marshal David Adams, the Labor Day Weekend was busy for his department.

On Friday night, officers from his department responded to a noise complaint in Versailles, that ended with minors being arrested on charges of consuming alcoholic beverages and possession of drugs.

In an incident that occurred on Saturday night, officers served a search warrant and charges are pending against a male for possession of marijuana and dealing marijuana. Names have not been released until the charges are formally filed.

Joe Mann of the Versailles Police Department is the investigating officer in the cases and was assisted by Versailles Marshal Adams, Danny Hamilton, RCSD, Chuck Peters and Rodney Stepleton, Osgood Police Department, and David Noah, Indiana State Police.
