Indians suffer three game loss on the road to Lawrenceburg

After losing to South Ripley in five heated games on Monday night the Lady Indians' volleyball team traveled to Lawrenceburg to take on the Lady Tigers on Tuesday night. Milan fell to Lawrenceburg in three straight games with scores of 15-25, 14-25 and 6-25. With the loss the Lady Indians record falls to 11-10 on the season.

Three Indians were perfect on serving with Miranda Roberts going 5-5, Jen Wullenweber going 4-4 with an ace and Lacee Alloway going 3-3.

ter led the team with 5 kills apiece. Roberts went 16-21 on hitting while Cutter was 14-19. Lacee Alloway had 4 kills on 12-16 hitting. Alloway and Cutter led the team with 5 set assists apiece followed by Kaity Barton with 3 and Jen Wullenweber with 2.

Alloway had a team high 12 digs followed by Wullenweber, Barton and Miranda Roberts with 7 each. Alloway and Cutter chalked up the Indians' only blocks in the contest.

Milan continues their season tonight (Thurs.) at home against East Central. That game is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm with the JV playing first.

Raiders and Indians battle in five game match at Milan

The Lady Raiders' volleyball team picked up their first conference win of the season after defeating Milan in five games Monday night at Milan. The scores of the five games were 24-26. 25-15, 17-25, 25-16 and 15-8.

The Lady Raiders had two players finish the match serving perfect with Ashley Thomas going 23-23 with 2 aces for 16 points and Erin Collier going 14-14 with an ace for 7 points.

Casey Payne and Kristen Huss were the teams leading passers both completing 39 out of 43 passes. Erin Collier completed 40 out of 46 passes. Julie Lipperd led the team with 14 kills on 30-33 hitting followed by Collier with 8 kills on 21-22 hitting and Huss with 6 kills on 30-33 hitting.

Huss was the teams top setter going 56-59 in the match followed by Sheena Braley who was 47-52 in the contest.

Lipperd led the Raiders with 6 solo blocks and one assisted followed by Kristen Huss and Abbey Lemon
with 4 solo blocks each.

Two Indians finished the match serving perfect with both Lacee Alloway and Jen Wullenweber going 8-8. Kaity Barton had a team high 5 aces on 11-12 serving.

Alloway led the Indians with 12 kills on 30-41 hitting followed by Kaity Barton with 7 kills on 23-28 hitting. Alloway was also the team leader in set assists with 10 followed by Dane Cutter with 9 and Jen Wullenweber with 7. Cutter had the Indians' only block in the contest.

In the reserve match the Lady Raiders defeated the Lady Indians in three games with scores of 25-20, 22-25 and 25-20.

Sally Adams was the Raiders' leading server going 21-22 with 3 aces. Lauren Lemon finished the match going 11-14 with an ace. Susannah Mann and Erin Webster were the leading passers with Mann completing 22 out of 24 passes and Webster completing 17 out of 18.

Mann led the team with 3 kills on 7-9 hitting followed by Beth Stratton with 2 kills on 7-10 hitting. Kellie Collier and Sally Adams were the leading setters with Collier going 27-29 and Adams going 11-12.
