Arron J. Zimmerman
Arron J. Zimmerman, 21, of Cincinnati, died Thursday, September 23, 2004 at his residence. He was born May 8, 1983 in Cincinnati the son of Jeffrey J. Zimmerman and Jemma Adams Zimmerman and they survive in Madison.
Other survivors include two sisters, Angela Lucas of Cincinnati, Audra Zimmerman at home; maternal grandmother, Edna Adams; and paternal grandmother, Juanita Zimmerman.
Mr. Zimmerman was a cook.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 27 at the Filter Funeral Home, Aurora. Burial was in the Caladonia Cemetery in Caladonia.

Betty J. Walke
Betty J. Walke, 81, of Batesville, died Thursday, September 23, 2004 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born August 25, 1923 in Batesville the daughter of Charles Tekulve and Mary Meyer Tekulve, both deceased. She married Dale Freeland in 1955 at St. Louis Church and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1967. In 1970 she married Francis "Bobe" Walke at St. Louis Church and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1990.
Survivors include four stepdaughters, Cheryl Frensemeier, Janet Maple, Joan Dwenger, Carol Baker, all of Batesville; one stepson, Steve Walke of Batesville; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Vera Freeland, Mary Braley, Jean Mollaun; and six brothers, Arnold, Maxwell, Clifford, Robert, Frank, and Charles Tekulve.
Mrs. Walke was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Batesville, a member of Ripley County VFW Post #3183 Ladies Auxiliary and St. Louis Ladies Society. She was a secretary for five years at the Herald-Tribune and 10 years with the Greeman, Kellerman and Wycoff Law Firm, retiring in 1970.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 27 at 10 a.m. at the St. Louis Catholic Church with Rev. Christiaan Kappes officiating. Burial was in the St. Louis Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the 911 Emergency Service or Hospice of Margaret Mary Community Hospital.

Charles H. (Jack) Hall
Charles H. (Jack) Hall, 85, of Moores Hill, died Friday, September 24, 2004 at his residence. He was born December 3, 1918 in Ohio County, the son of Charlie Louis and Florence Bell (Turner) Hall. He married Mary Louise Webster on December 23, 1939 and she survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Charles Hall, Jr. of Moores Hill, Jerome (Fern) Hall of Madison, Kenneth Wayne (Deborah) Hall of Moores Hill, Denver Hall of Moores Hill; two daughters, Connie Wright of Aurora, Deborah (Garry) Watson of Rushville; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Four sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Hall was a former employee of Lotus Warehouse, Quaker Oats and retired from Seagram's in 1984. He was a member of the Holmes Hill Church of Christ at Aurora.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 27 at 11 a.m. at the Holmes Hill Church of Christ near Aurora with Evangelist Tommy Johnson officiating. Burial was in the New Rising Sun Cemetery, Rising Sun.
Memorials may be given to the family.

Frances A. Yorn
Frances A. Yorn, 84, of Batesville, died Sunday, September 26, 2004 at the Waters of Batesville. She was born June 21, 1920 in Klamath Falls, OR, the daughter of Frank Smith and Louise Keller Smith, both deceased. She married Robert Louis Yorn on July 31, 1946 in Batesville and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1971.
Survivors include daughters, Glenda (Jerry) Vogt of Batesville, Rebecca 'Becky' Ross of Romney; sons, Robert Yorn of Greenwood, Steve (Deborah) Yorn of Batesville; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Anne Marie Ricke and one brother, George 'Bud' Smith.
Mrs. Yorn was retired from Feltz Restaurant and VFW after many years of service. She was a member of the Batesville United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 28, 5-8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 29 at 11 a.m. at the Batesville United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Marhanka officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Batesville.
Memorials may be made to Margaret Mary Hospice.

Earl B. Stille
Earl B. Stille, 69, of Aurora, died Friday, September 24, 2004 in Lawrenceburg. He was born January 16, 1935 in Holton. He married Margo Stille and she survives in Aurora.
Other survivors include one son, Larry Bovard of Florence; two daughters, Diana Stille, Tena Clark both of Aurora; granddaughter, Tonda Clark Satchwell and great granddaughters, Taylor and Tori; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by children Cebra Kelly and Mark Stille.
Mr. Stille was a member of the Aurora Eagles, Aurora Moose Lodge, Aurora VFW, and the Dillsboro American Legion. He was a retired machinist from Seagram's Distillery with 35 years of service. He was an Army veteran.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Aurora with special services by the Moose and Eagles Lodges. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 6 at 8 p.m. with Pastor Charles Hill officiating at the Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Aurora.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Aurora Life Squad.

Norma E. Kanning
Norma E. Kanning, 91, of Osgood, died Friday, September 24, 2004 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg. She was born December 15, 1912 at Ballstown, IN (Ripley County), the son of Frederick and Anna Pohlman Siebert. She married Alfred Frederick Kanning on June 24, 1939 and he preceded her in death on October 19, 1983.
Survivors include one son, Myron G. Kanning of Batesville; one daughter, Myrna Bianchi of Irvine, CA; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Wilbur, Frederick, Waldo and Clarence Siebert; five sisters, Alma Dieckmann, Elizabeth Dieckmann, Marie Thielking, Martha Weber and Delsie Asche.
Mrs. Kanning was a telephone operator for Napoleon Telephone Company from the middle 1930s to the early 1960s. She worked at the US Shoe Factory in Osgood from the early 1960s to the late 1970s. She was a past member of the Osgood Versailles Eastern Stars and the St. John's Lutheran Church, Napoleon.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 27, at 10 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Napoleon. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. John's Church.

Paul W. Wood, Sr.
Paul W. "Bo" Wood, Sr., 68 of Vevay, died Friday, September 24, 2004 at Jewish Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY. He was born June 19, 1936 in Vevay the son of Stewart and Edith M. (Willis) Wood. He married Betty Lou (Sebree) Wood on November 22, 1958 and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2002.
Survivors include five daughters, Linda Leap Carpenter and husband Billy of Vevay, Dorothy Dawson and husband, Herbert of Dupont; Debra Lester and husband Roger of Madison, Barbara Hoevener and husband Gregory of Madison, Julie Sebree of Madison; three sons, Carol Sebree and wife Norma of Vevay, Paul Wood, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn of Milton, KY, Robert Wayne Wood of Dillsboro; 18 grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, Donald Wood and wife Barbara of Versailles; five sisters, Dorothy Pettit Asche and husband Robert of Osgood, Christine Beach and husband James of Patriot; Norma Schoenhoeft and husband Ben of Lady Lake, FL, Hazel Bainter of Osgood, Mary McGuire of N. Little Rock, AK; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by stepmother Martha Caldwell Wood; three sisters, Leona Wood, Margaret Sprong and Maxine Scott; and one grandson William Robert Flood.
Mr. Wood was an army veteran of the Korean War. He was a self-employed truck driver and construction worker for over forty years. He was a member of the Vevay VFW Post 5396.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 27 at 11 a.m. at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay with Rev. Howard Wade officiating. Burial was in the Vevay Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice through the funeral home.

Wanda Lee Mosley
Wanda Lee Mosley, 70, of Aurora, died Saturday, September 25, 2004 at her residence. She was born June 5, 1934 in Colo, KY the daughter of Kellis Marion and Nellie Lois (Hughes) Phelps. She married Lloyd Mosley on January 19, 1950 and he survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Rick Mosley of Milan, Wayne Mosley of Rising Sun, Larry Mosley of West Harrison, Mark Mosley of Dillsboro; four brothers, Billy Phelps of Louisville, Bobby Phelps of Ocala, FL, Harold Phelps of Alexandria, KY, Jimmy Phelps of Erlanger, KY; four sisters, Geraldine Pittman of Coco Beach, FL, Marcie Wilburn of Ft. Thomas, KY, Iva Poynter of Richmond, KY, Vickie O'Brien of Walton, KY; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one great grandchild.
Mrs. Mosley was a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, KY. She was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, September 28 at 1 p.m. (fast time) at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Milan with Pastor Rick Mosley officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery at Bear Branch.

Sr. Terese Adele Blum, O.S.F.
Sr. Terese Adele Blum, O.S.F., 88, of Oldenburg, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at the Srs. of St. Francis Convent in Oldenburg. She was born May 9, 1916 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Ralph Blum and Teresa Bundschu Blum, both deceased.
Survivors include three sisters, Marian Higgins of Arlington, VA, Virginia Sullivan of McLean, VA, Sr. Margaret Virginia Blum, OP of Caldwell, NJ and one brother, Dick Blum of Miami Shores, FL. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Blum.
Sr. Blum entered the convent on December 31, 1939 and she made her final vows on August 12, 1945. She was an elementary teacher at schools in Indiana, Ohio and Missouri. She was also a registered nurse at the Srs. of St. Francis Infirmary in Oldenburg, St. Vincent's Orphanage in Vincennes, Veteran's Hospital in Indianapolis, Girls Town in Cincinnati and Rosemont Girls in Columbus. She retired to the Motherhouse in 1991.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 18, 11 p.m. at Srs. of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel in Oldenburg with Rev. Carl Hawver, O.F.M. officiating.
Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials may go to the Srs. of St. Francis, P.O. Box 100, Oldenburg, Indiana 47036-0100.

Janet Kaye Knowlton
Janet Kaye Knowlton, 62, of Osgood, died Thursday, September 9, 2004 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison. She was born June 26, 1942 in Milan the daughter of Forrest Elmer and Nell Hall Pollard. She married Russell Knowlton and he survives at home.
Other survivors include her mother, Nell Pollard of Versailles, one son, Jeffrey G. Smith of Batesville, three daughters, Kimberly K. Owens of Dayton, KY, Leslie R. Smith of Osgood, Johanna R. Owens of Osgood, three brothers, Elmer L. Pollard of Mooresville, Maurice Pollard of Waynesville, OH, Phil Pollard of Denver, CO, two sisters, Edna P. Hunger of Versailles, Elaine K. Miller of Ohio and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Knowlton worked for Osgood Elementary School as a teacher's aid from the middle 1970's to the early 1980's. She was a member of the Osgood First Baptist Church and worked at Farm Bureau Insurance as a customer service representative for 17 years retiring in March of 2004.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 13, 1 p.m. at Neal's Funeral Home in Osgood.
Burial was in the Greendale Cemetery in Osgood. Memorials may go to the King's Daughters' Hospice, Hopewell Church, Cedar Creek Church or the Osgood First Baptist Church.

Ralph E. Holman
Ralph E. Holman of Liberty, died Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at Reid Hospital. He was born September 27, 1921 in Franklin the son of Thomas Cornett Holman and Dora Shepard Holman, both deceased. He married Mary L. Holman on November 10, 1947 and she survives.
Mr. Holman retired from GTE in February of 1989. He was a member of Liberty Church of Christ and was also an Army veteran of WWII.
Other survivors include two daughters, Darla Anderson of Liberty, Linda Dunlap and her husband David of Richmond, one son, Denny Poe and his wife Aleesha of LaPorte, five grandchildren, one great-grandson, one sister, Saralee Cumberworth and her husband Guy of Versailles, two brothers, Thomas Holman and his wife Evelyn of Sharpsville, Jack Corey of Versailles, several nieces and nephews and his dog, Jake. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Roberta Holman, two brothers, Raymond Holman and Nelson Holman and one sister, Virginia Holman.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 10, 1 p.m. at Doan & Mills Funeral Home in Richmond with his cousin, Rev. Frank Holman officiating.
Burial was in the Abington Cemetery. Memorials may go to the donor's favorite charity.

John H. White, Jr.
John H. White, Jr., 65, of Holton passed away Thursday, September 9, 2004 at his home. He was born at Rising Sun on November 17, 1938 the son of John H. and Gertrude Ellis White. He was married to Carolyn Johnson on July 18, 1959 and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Dwayne White, Franklin White and his wife Pamela all of Holton; one daughter, Tammie Stewart of Noblesville; granddaughters Amanda Fronek, Heather Green, Erika Wright, and Hilary White; great-grandsons Andrew Roembke and Aidan Green; three brothers, Howard "Butch" White and his wife Darlene of Rising Sun, Clarence White and Vonda of Lawrenceburg, and Charlie White and Veeta of Rising Sun; three sisters, Velma Vest of Aurora, Esther Miller and her husband Harry of Rising Sun and Henrietta Lay and Stanley of Holton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, John H. "Bub" White III, brothers, James and George Robert White and his sister, Anna Elizabeth White.
Mr. White was a 1957 graduate of Patriot High School and was a Navy veteran. He retired from Cummins Engine in Columbus in 1996 after 30 years of service. He was also a member of the DWI at Cummins.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev.David Shivers of the Hopewell Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was in the New Cemetery at Rising Sun. Memorials may be given to the Hospice of Margaret Mary Hospital in care of the funeral home.

Antoinette Thornburg
Antoinette Thornburg, 88, of Sunman, died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at her residence. She was born August 28, 1916 in Penntown the daughter of A.E. and Henrietta Stille Meyers, both deceased. She married Murray Thornburg and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1998.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Kay Thornburg of Sunman. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Thornburg was a retired beautician. She was also a member of St. John's UCC Church in Penntown.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, September 14, 10-11 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home in Sunman.
Funeral services will follow visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Judith P. Doll officiating.
Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Penntown. Memorials may go to St. John's UCC Church or Hospice of MMCH in Batesville.

Donald C. Wagner
Donald C. Wagner died Thursday, September 9, 2004. He was born February 17, 1934 in Ripley County. He married N. Louise Wagner and she survives.
Other survivors include three children, David P. Wagner and wife Janis, Mary J. Adair and husband Willie, Daniel J. Wagner and wife Shelby, six grandchildren, one sister, Burdella and three brothers, Richard, Cletus and Bill. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Paul and Maurice and one sister, Wilma.
Mr. Wagner was a graduate of Purdue University holding a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in business administration from Nova University. He was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, retired from AT&T in 1989 and the National City Bank in 1999.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 13 at the Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. Memorials may go to the American Heart Association.

Edna P. Hayes
Edna P. Hayes, 85, of Greensburg, died Sunday, September 12, 2004 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She was born April 21, 1919 in Ripley County the daughter of James Alsa Delay and Grace Lane, both deceased. She married Faye Edward Hayes on December 3, 1938 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1982.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Kenneth) Owens of Greensburg, Kathy Hayes of Greensburg, four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Hayes, five brothers, John, Truman, Elvan, Roy and Raymond Delay and five sisters, Glenna Black, Elsie Hyatt, Neva Sharp, Rosa Marie Delay and Edith Brindley.
Mrs. Hayes retired in 1982 from the dietary department at Decatur County Memorial Hospital and also the Business and Profession Circle at First Baptist Church. She was a 1938 graduate of Versailles High School, a member of the First Baptist Church and also the Loyal Builders Sunday school class.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, September 14, 4-8 p.m. at Porter - Oliger - Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 15, 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Lee Riggs officiating. Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.

Donald Manning
Donald Manning, 72, of Versailles passed away Sunday, September 12, 2004 at his residence. He was born at Mace, Indiana on April 9, 1932 the son of Russie and Mary Royse Manning. He was married to Shirley Elliott on April 9, 1993 and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Rusty Manning of Kokomo and Keith Manning and his wife Diana of Oxford; three daughters, Terry Dahlgren and her husband Dan of Cicero, Brenda Roe and Dan of Lafayette, and Pam Wagner and Charley of Baltimore; one stepson, Brad Walker and his wife Rebecca of Louisville; one step daughter, Fern Baumer and her husband John of Batesville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Haynes of Bradenton, Florida, Vada Isenberg of Jackson, Tennessee, and Tona Pullen of Plant City, Florida.
Mr. Manning was an Engineer for the Chrysler Corp. of Kokomo for 31 years retiring in 1987. He was also an Air Force veteran of Korea.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home of Versailles is in charge of arrangements.

Sr. Rosina
Emery, O.S.F.

Sr. Rosina Emery, O.S.F., 79, of Oldenburg, died Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at Srs. of St. Francis Convent in Oldenburg. She was born June 24, 1925 in Indianapolis the daughter of George F. Emery and Mabel M. (Carter) Emery, both deceased.
Survivors include one sister, Patricia Engle of Indianapolis and one brother, Henry Emery of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann, Margaret and Rose Emery.
Sr. Emery entered the convent on September 14, 1941 and made her final vows on August 12, 1948. She was an elementary teacher and principal at various schools in Indiana and Ohio. She retired to the Motherhouse in 1997.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 3, 2004 at the Srs. of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel in Oldenburg with Rev. Carl Hawver, O.F.M. officiating.
Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery. Memorials may go to the Srs. of St. Francis, P.O. Box 100, Main Street, Oldenburg, IN 47036. Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville, was in charge of the arrangements.

Mary F. Hullemeyer
Mary F. Hullemeyer, 68, of Batesville, died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 27, 1936 in Cincinnati the daughter of Mario and Pauline (Mirlisena) Tallarigo, both deceased. She married Walt Hullemeyer on July 4, 1959 in Cincinnati and he survives in Batesville.
Other survivors include two daughters, Holly Hullemeyer of Wheeling, IL, Lisa Pederson of Grayslake, IL; two sons, Eric Hullemeyer of Peachtree City, GA, Adam Hullemeyer of Batesville; one brother, Albert Tallerigo of Cincinnati and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Hullemeyer was a homemaker, a member of the St. Louis Church Ladies Society and the St. Louis Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 7 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, September 7 at 11 a.m. at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Batesville with Rev. Daniel Mahan officiating. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 3 p.m. in Cincinnati.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
