JCD to have special veteran's program

The students of Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School will be observing Veteran's Day with a special program that will be held Thursday, November 11, at 8:30 a.m. in the school gymnasium. The public and all area veterans and their families are cordially invited to attend.

Taking part in the program will be the Jac-Cen-Del Elementary Swing Choir, The Swinging Eagles, under the direction of Mrs. Sandy Corfman. The choir is made up of fourth, fifth and sixth graders.

A special part of this year's observance of Veteran's Day will be a salute to the veterans of D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. This year marks the sixtieth anniversary of those two battles. To honor those who fought in World War II and more specifically those two battles, the school is asking those veterans to contact Ron Corfman before November 11. The phone number is 689-4171.
