Two items on agenda at Planning mtg.
Cathy May - Contributing Writer
There were only two agenda items for the Ripley
County Area Planning Commission, which led to a short meeting
when they met on Election night, November 2.
The first item, was presented by Surveyor Jeff French. The
application by JDJ Surveying and Engineering, LLC was for primary
approval of Clementine Agricultural Subdivision of two lots containing
8.545 acres off of 1000 East in Adams Township. This was granted
primary approval with a vote of 11-0.
Michael and Renee Ramig applied for a re-zone from the Agricultural-1
zone district to the Agricultural-2 zone district for 19.730
acres on Old Milan Road in Franklin Township. They were represented
at the meeting by Dennis Kraus Sr., surveyor. This was the
remainder of
an agricultural subdivision with limited road access. By changing the zoning
they will be able to make two lots. This was given a favorable recommendation
to the Ripley County Commissioners with a vote of 11-0.
Eleven of the twelve members of the Planning Commission were
present: Sam Row, Kaye Hunger, Roger Lang, Bob Gray, Owen Menchhofer,
Henry Nickell, James Negangard, Covell Mills, Jeff
French, Steve Youngman and Dave Osborne. Executive Director Tad Brinson and
Attorney John Ertel were present to advise the Commission.
The next meeting of the Ripley County Area Planning Commission
will be Tuesday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m. at the Ripley County
Courthouse Annex in Versailles.
