Storm Water Survey needed to get grant for Napoleon
Cathy May - Contributing Writer
Tim Brancamp, president of the Napoleon Town
Board, reported he had met with one engineering firm regarding
the Storm Water Survey and plans to meet with several other
firms in the next few weeks. The Storm Water Survey is needed
in order to get a grant to help with storm water problems through
the state.
The Fixed Asset Survey has been completed. The town was required
to go back in their records and find the original costs of
all capitol projects. The survey will be returned to the Department
of Commerce this week.
The board discussed the need for more fire hydrants. There
are currently six located throughout the town. It is hoped
to add five or six more.
Rod Eaton, utility manager, reported on his qualifications
for the gas department. The town will look into options for
a potential back-up person.
The board dismissed to select the poles where the new Christmas
lights will be placed. The lights will add $3.19 per month
to the cost of each light. It was suggested that the town look
into the possibility of adding floodlights to the new welcome
signs and the sign in front of the Napoleon Senior Center.
It was reported the Halloween party had been very successful
and several children attended.
All three board members, Tim Brancamp, Bill Vankirk, and Gerry
Linnarducci, were present for the meeting. The next meeting
will be held on December 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the Napoleon Senior
Center.
