With a 55-30 victory over Edinburgh on the road Saturday, the Milan Lady Indians' varsity basketball team picked up their first victory of the season. With the win the Indians push their record to 1-8 on the season.

Milan took an early lead outscoring the Lancers 13-10 in the first half. The Lady Indians connected on 5 of 8 free-throws in the quarter.

In the third quarter Milan didn't allow Edinburgh to hit a single field goal and held them to just one point. The Indians on the other hand added 14 points to their total to put the game out of reach for the Lady Lancers.

The Lady Indians added one more point to their lead as they outscored Edinburgh 10-9 in the final quarter to pick up the 55-30 win.

Kiley MacVey led all scorers with 15 points. Katie Volz and Lacee Alloway both had 10 points and Shayna Gerster chipped in 8.
