Food pantry to relocate in Sunman Town Hall

The Sunman Food Pantry asked the Sunman Town Council if they could locate their facility in the basement of the Town Hall. As this will assist the town in their application for grant funding, the town council agreed.

Hannum, Wagle and Cline Engineering proposed a lump sum fee of $3,000 to complete an accessibility study for the Town Hall building at 604 N. Meridian. Council accepted their proposal.

The Sunman Park Board received a grant in the amount of $3,200 from the Ripley County Community Foundation. This grant will be used to purchase outdoor grills, bleachers and a piece of playground equipment.

Twenty tons of road salt has been ordered for the winter.

Council will decide on the sanitary sewer line project at Raintree Terrace at their year-end meeting which will occur on December 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Council adopted the Parking Fine Ordinance. This amends the parking fine to $15.00 per occurrence.

Town board members Wayne Jenner, Mike Wolff, and John Campbell were in attendance. Also present to advise the board were Attorney Jack Kellerman and Clerk-Treasurer Kris Schneider. The next board meeting will be held January 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sunman Town Hall.
