Gov. Daniels to be in Cross Plains Friday
Check to be presented to RCCF
Governor Mitch Daniels will travel to Otter's
Grocery in Cross Plains on Friday, March 4 in Indiana's new
RV One to talk about new measures taken by the Hoosier Lottery
to improve security and strengthen ethical standards.
The governor
will also present a check to the Ripley County Community
Foundation (RCCF) on behalf of the Hoosier Lottery.
The Lottery is providing the contribution as a goodwill gesture
following last year's security breach involving a fraudulently
purchased $1 mil
lion winning scratch-off ticket that had been purchased at Otter's Grocery.
Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Esther Q. Schneider will
join Daniels in Cross Plains to discuss the new ethical procedures
and security controls implemented by the Lottery that will
identify and prevent security problems.
"The Hoosier Lottery is adhering to the Governor's call
for higher ethical standards in state government. We are also
bolstering our security mechanisms to protect the integrity
of Lottery," said Schneider.
