The Ripley County Planning Commission approved
four agricultural subdivisions at their March 1 meeting: Douglas
and Gloria Holland's one-lot ag subdivision on N. Finks Road
in Osgood; Dale and Jill Miller's two-lot ag subdivision on
N. County Line Road in Milan; Melvin and Mary Richardson's
one-lot ag subdivision on W. County Road in Osgood; and Paul
and Donna Borgman's three-lot ag subdivision on N. Finks Road
in Osgood.
JRM Development applied for a rezone from the Residential-3
District to the Roadside Business District for Part of Lots
#24 and Lot #23 at 301 Rick Street in Milan. The request was
sent to the town of Milan with a favorable recommendation.
Two items were postponed. Ed Fraley's request for a rezone
from the Agriculture-2 and Residential-2 District's to Road
Side Business District was postponed because he did not have
a Certificate of Occupancy for his building. R. G. Roberts
Enterprises, Inc.'s application for Primary Approval of Hunter's
Glen Subdivision in Washington Township was also postponed
because he didn't have all the required paperwork completed.
Board of Zoning Appeals member Sue French reported the Rules
of Procedure for the Planning Commission are in the works and
soon to be completed. French serves on a committee working
on the project with consultant, Harry Sheridan.
Nine of twelve members of the Planning Commission were present:
Sam Row, Kay Hunger, Roger Lang, Bob Gray, Henry Nickell, Covell
Mills, Jeff French, Steve Youngman and Dave Osborne. Executive
Director Tad Brinson and Attorney John Ertel were present to
advise the Commission. The next meeting of the Ripley County
Area Planning Commission will be Tuesday, April 5, at 7:00
p.m. at the Ripley County Courthouse Annex.
