Chamber holds 12th Annual Walk/Run

On Saturday, June 25 the Ripley County Chamber held it's 12th Annual 5K Walk/Run. The 3.1 mile road course took the competitors around Versailles.

For the males the defending champ Cecil Franke was the first place overall and 30-39 age group with a time of 15:35.

Brock Shadday of Osgood placed first 13 and under. Jim Marlatt placed first in the 14-19 age group. Don Baumgartner of Versailles placed first in the 20-29 age group. In the 40-49 age
group Leo Turchyn of Batesville was the first one to cross the finish line. Ed Deiwert of Greensburg was first in the 50-59 age group. In the 60 and over age group Paul Weldshofer was first. The top male walker was Bruce Sutton of Versailles.

For the females Stacy Holdsworth was first place overall and in the 30-39 age group. In the 13 and under age group Becca Wagner of Osgood was first. Kaitlin Hughes of Osgood was first in the 14-19 age group and Krisha Dewitt of Osgood
was first in the 20-29. Carrie Vawter was first in the 30-39 age group and in the 40-49 age group Jerilyn Lowery led the way. Mary Ann Rick of Versailles was first in the 50-59 age group and Merle Hines was first in 60 and up.
