Lady golfers unable to tee off

Thursday evening, August 11, The varsity Lady Milan Indian golfers were to open their fall season at Hoosier Links Golf Course in Milan against the Varsity Lady Eagles of Jac-Cen-Del

Mother Nature would have the final say as lightning, rain and the threat of more stormy weather took precedence.

The match has been reschedule as a three-team outing on Aug. 24, and will include Union County lady golfers.

Gregg wins The Bluegrass 100 on Louisville Courier-Journal pole day at Kentucky Speedway

Indy League Menards Infiniti Pro Series driver Travis Gregg #7 the Lucas Oil/Argosy Casino/SSM took the checkered flag Saturday Aug. 13 in the Bluegrass 100 at the Kentucky Speedway where he dominated the 11 car grid for his third win of the season.

Gregg qualified with a speed of 187.962 putting him on the pole at the start of the race and he maintained the lead throughout the 67 lap race. The only caution came at lap 48, but Gregg would not relinquish the lead even then.

Second place was taken by Wade Cunningham in his #33 Multimatic, third place was taken by # 5 Vonage entry driven by Marco Andretti, fourth place the #20 Vision Racing entry driven by Jay Drake, and rounding out the top 5 finishers was Jeff Simmons in the #24 Team ISI entry.
