Former Milan man killed in accident in Kentucky

Jeremiah Ludeker, 27, formerly of Milan, lost his life in an accident last Wednesday, November 30, in Burlington, KY.

According to Boone County Sheriff Michael A. Helmig, Ludeker was a front passenger in a vehicle that crashed on Limaburg Road, after the driver ran off the roadway, struck a utility pole snapping it in half.

Ludeker was ejected through a sunroof and along with the driver, who was trapped in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two rear passengers - Shawna Chadwell, 26, of Burlington, KY, and Anastacio Hernandez Flores, 39, of Houston, TX, were ejected from the car and were taken to area hospitals.

According to Sheriff Helmig, investigators at the scene noted that excessive speed and alcohol were contributing factors to the accident.
