Osgood Town Board organizes

Jeff Volz was again elected president of the Osgood Town Board at their January 3 organizational meeting. The contract for fire protection between the Town of Osgood and Center Township was approved for $12,000. The contract for fire protection between the Town of Osgood and the Osgood Volunteer Fire Department was approved for $16,000. Mary Ann Gay will continue to be the town attorney for $4,000 a year.

All department supervisors will remain the same: Gas and Street Departments, Steve Wilhoit; Water Department, Chuck Gill; Wastewater, Tony Wood and Town Marshal Rodney Stepleton. The Town Council will serve as the Board of Finance and the Board of Public Works.

Attending the meeting were all three town council members: Jeff Volz, Paul Struckman and Linda Krinop. Present to advise the board were Town Attorney Mary Ann Gay and Clerk-Treasurer Tammy Wilhoit.
