The Jac-Cen-Del Eagle boys' team split this
past weekend, taking the win over the Oldenburg
Academy Twisters by 21 on Friday night, then
losing by 3 to the South Dearborn Knights on
Saturday, January 28.
THE OLDENBURG GAME:
JCDHS was the site for the January 27 game,
the mere 4 point advantage the Eagles were
able to muster by the end of their first period
was no true read on a game that found them
firmly in control by twenty by the end of the
third quarter, leading to an Eagle victory
at 63-42.
Leading the Eagle scoring for the game was
Brandon Gehl with 22, Adam Vollmer added 11,
followed by Tucker Brown with 8. Three Eagles
managed 6 points for the game, Kyle Horan,
Andrew Wagner, and Justin Huff, and Thomas
Winnington scored a pair of FG's for 4. The
Eagles managed 9 steals in the game, 3 by Vollmer,
2 by Horan, and 1 each by Huff, Daniel Leonetti,
Tyler Bradshaw, and Blake Billman. Coty Horn
rounded out the Eagle roster.
Oldenburg scoring came from Jason Eckstein
with 13, T. J. Berry 9, Pierce Ebinger 7, Brian
Stenger 6, Andy Eckstein 5, and 2 by Benjamin
Newton. Rounding out the Twister roster were
R. J. Raab, James Bruns, Mike Johnston, and
Eric Galente.
Final score, Jac-Cen-Del 63-42 Oldenburg Academy.

Observing the Coach Bradshaw Eagles' ever
changing rotation of whom scoring will erupt
from on any given night keeps them ever in
the contest and ever able to throw a different
look at their competition.
This particular game found the Eagles trailing
by 3 at the first period's end 16-13, down
33-24 at the half, matching point for point
in the third and able to eat into the Knight
lead 14-8 in the fourth, falling short by 3,
57-54 at game's end.
