Lots of choices for offices
Candidates in place for Primary Election

Friday, February 17 at noon was the deadline
for a candidate to file to run for the Primary Election in
Ripley County. There are a number of choices for voters to
choose from. You can register to vote in the Ripley County
Clerk's Office, second floor of the Courthouse in Versailles.
According to Clerk Ginger Bradford, those seeking the office
of auditor include Mark E. Busching, Versailles, and Mary Ann
McCoy, Holton, both Republicans.
The sheriff's race sees four contenders: Bill Davison, Versailles;
Thomas J. (Tom) Grills, Batesville, on the Republican ticket
and William (Bill) Dramann, Batesville and Theodore Popp, Dillsboro,
on the Democrat ticket.
Two Republicans will vie for surveyor: Jeffrey P. French,
Versailles, and Rob Seig, Sunman.
The office of Assessor will have Shawna F. Bushhorn, Osgood,
and Gary Palastro, Milan, for choices.
Commissioner seat in the 1st District is open with Robert
C. Reiners, Sunman, Republican and Lloyd E. Richter, Batesville,
on the Democrat ticket.
County Council candidates include: Juanita (Dee Dee) Kaiser,
Batesville, District 1, Republican; Joseph L. Decker, Batesville,
District 1, Democrat; Patricia Dephane Smith, Milan, District
2, Republican; David Simon, Osgood, District 3, Republican;
Edward L. Armbrecht, Versailles, District 4, Democrat.
Trustee candidates include:
Adams Township: Edward Gindling, Sunman, Democrat.
Brown Township: Amy R. Copeland, Versailles, and Harold Stegemoller,
Versailles, both Republican.
Center Township: William (Bill) Warren, Osgood, Republican.
Delaware Township: Paul Anthony Hardy, Osgood, Republican.
Franklin Township: Garry W. Sapp, Milan, Democrat.
Jackson Township: Joan M. Menchhofer, Osgood, Democrat.
Johnson Township: Amber May, Versailles, Republican, and Joyce
Samples, Versailles, Democrat.
Laughery Township: Saundra L. Nobbe, Batesville, Democrat.
Otter Creek Township: Cynthia A. Melton, Holton, Democrat.
Shelby Township: Stacey Schmaltz, Versailles, Democrat.
Washington Township: Ronald E. Denton, Milan, Republican,
and Arlin D. Hooker, Milan, and Ruby McDonald, Milan, both
on the Democrat ticket.
Candidates for township board members include:
Adams Township: E. George Ammerman Jr., Sunman; Floyd N. Doll,
Batesville, and W. Paul Voss, Batesville, all on the Democrat
ticket.
Center Township: Harold E. Adams, Osgood, Michael E. Hilton,
Osgood, and Ruth J. Hughes, Osgood, all Republican.
Delaware Township: Harold Turner, Osgood, and Robert E. Workman,
Osgood, both Republican; James M. Grigsby, Osgood, and Kerry
A. McConnell, Osgood, Democrat.
Franklin Township: Dorothy Berger, Sunman, Anthony A. Eisert,
Milan, Mark J. Riehle, Sunman, all Democrat.
Jackson Township: Susan Schutte, Napoleon, Republican; Jack
W. Schuerman, Osgood, and Michael Schuler, Batesville, both
Democrat.
Johnson Township: Elizabeth Baumgartner, Versailles, Carol
L. Holzer, Versailles, and Raymond Sanders, Versailles, all
Republican.
Laughery Township: Helen Ellinghausen, Batesville, and Mary
E. Mays, Batesville, both Republican; John Kellerman II, Batesville,
Democrat.
Otter Creek Township: Matthew L. McNew, Holton, Janine Stratton,
Holton, Ray E. Tucker, Holton, Republican.
Shelby Township: Bert Samples, Versailles, Democrat.
Washington Township: Kimberley S. Johnson, Dillsboro, Republican;
Debra J. Cutter, Versailles; Harland E. Delap, Versailles;
and Henry N. Voss, Milan, all Democrat.
Those vying for positions on the Jac-Cen-Del School Board
include:

Candidates for the Milan School Board include:
· Gregory D. Lewis, Sunman; Eric M. Riehle, Sunman;
and Donald Alan Welti, Sunman, all Franklin Township.
· Stephanie
C. Baker, Milan; Justin Bushhorn, Milan; and Randy Kirk, Dillsboro;
all Washington Township.
· Paul F. Newton, Milan; Timothy W. Tuttle, Milan;
Yatzie Roysden, Milan; Bonnie Jean Volz, Milan; and Kenneth
J. Weston, Moores Hill, all for Milan School Board At Large.
