The Pines Restaurant at Madison was again the site
for the annual ORVC Winter (Basketball) Sports Banquet,
held Wednesday evening, March 23. The Ohio River
Valley Conference consists of seven area schools
of which include: the Hilltoppers of Madison Shawe
Memorial, the Raiders of South Ripley, the Eagles
of Jac-Cen-Del, the Indians of Milan, the Pacers
of Switzerland County, the Shiners of Rising Sun,
and the Rebels of Southwestern, Hanover.
This year's meeting was called to order and a welcome
extended to guests by Kent Dunning, the Athletic
Director of Switzerland County High School, following
Noel Bostic, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director
of Rising Sun High School, led in the blessing before
the meal.
Following the buffet meal, A.D. Dunning again called
the meeting to order, where first on the agenda
he complimented the students and coaches for another
fine season of basketball and then presented trophies
to those schools winning in the respective categories
as follows:
