Jac-Cen-Del Eagle Varsity baseball team drops a pair on the raod to the South Ripley Raiders and the Lawrenceburg Tigers

JCD vs SR
The Jac-Cen Del Eagle Varsity Baseball Team traveled to South Ripley for a game on Wednesday, April 12, where they fell by a score of 3-2 in an 8 inning battle.
Taking the mound for the Eagles was Bryan Schwanholt, who pitched 6 innings, faced 27 batters, compiled 7 strike outs, and 6 walks, while giving up 3 hits and 2 runs against the Raider squad. Pitching in relief for the Eagles and taking the loss for the game was Tucker Brown, pitching 1 1/3 innings. Brown while on the mound faced 10 batters, gave up 2 hits and 1 run while walking 3.
The Raider opening pitcher was Cory Yeomans who faced 25 Eagle batters in his 6 innings of work, allowing 2 runs off 3 hits, striking out 4 and walking 3. Recording the win for the Raiders was Tim Burcham who took the mound in relief facing 6, allowing no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 2, to secure the Raider win.


JCD vs Lawrenceburg
The Jac-Cen Del Eagle Varsity Baseball Team traveled to Lawrenceburg for a game on Friday, April 14, where they fell by a score of 4-2 in the 7 inning battle.
Taking the loss at the mound for the Eagles was Tyler Bradshaw, who pitched 5 innings. Bradshaw faced 26 batters, compiled 6 strike outs, and walked 2, while giving up 4 runs on 6 hits. Bradshaw tried to help his team's cause from the batter's box with a home run with Schwanholt on base, creating the 2 runs scored by the Eagles for the game.
Pitching in relief for the Eagles was Tucker Brown, pitching 1 inning. Brown while on the mound faced 4 batters, giving up 1 hit .
Recording the win was Tiger opening pitcher Brookbank who faced 26 Eagle batters in his 6 innings of work, allowing 2 runs off 3 hits, striking out 6 and walking 3. Pitching in relief for the Tigers was who in relief faced 3 Eagle batters while striking out 1, to secure the Tiger victory.

 

Raider - 4 way boys' varsity track meet results – Thursday, April 13

Boy's meet results were Rising Sun 79, South Ripley 68, Shawe 45, and Oldenburg 36
Raider first place finishers were -
Ryan Kohlmeier in the 400, Eric Demaree in the 1600, Brandon Seabolt in the long jump, 3200 relay team of Ariel Lawburgh, Eric Demaree, Ryan Kohlmeier, and Ben Montgomery, and the 1600 relay team of Ariel Lawburgh, Eric Demaree, Ryan Kohlmeier, and Cody Myers. The Raider Top-Dog Award winners were: Running - Eric Demaree and for - Field - Brandon Seabolt.
Goal achievers for the event were: Ryan Kohlmeier - 1600, Seth Leonard - 800, Dustin Mathews - 100 & 200, Jake McConnell - 400 relay, Ben Montgomery - 3200, Jerry Coffin - 3200, Cody Myers - 1600 relay, and D J Shaw - Shot.
