ABOVE: The Sunman Town Museum opened in March 2005 in the new Town Hall to commemorate the Great Fire of 1905 that burned down most of the town. Much of the exhibit was donated by David Dryer. The dress collection was donated by the Sandy Lang family and features the wedding dresses of four generations. RIGHT: The giant turtle is the largest turtle (nearly 34 pounds) captured by the former St. Nicholas Turtle Hunters, a group of men who caught the turtles for the St. Nicholas Turtle Soup Dinner. It was stuffed and donated to the group's oldest member, Louis Retzner. It was then donated to the Sunman Museum.
