Ella Hisrich (nee Wipple), 95, of Batesville died Tuesday,
June 20, 2006. Funeral services were held June 24 at Meyers
Funeral Home, Batesville.
Emma C. Roth
Emma C. Roth, 92, of Batesville, died Thursday, June 22, 2006.
Funeral services were Monday, June 26 at the St. Louis Catholic
Church in Batesville. Burial was at the church cemetery. Weigel
Funeral Home, Batesville, was in charge of arrangements.
Robert Waite Cross
Robert Waite Cross, 85, of Sunman, died Saturday, June 24,
2006 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Batesville. Cross
was born August 6, 1920, the son of Waite and Rachel (Wilson)
Cross, both deceased. He married Jean Cross on July 3, 1940
and she survives.
Other survivors include son John Cross of San Angelo, TX;
daughters Joan Williams of Miami, FL and Christine Richter
of Sunman; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son Robert Cross.
Mr. Cross was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was a livestock
broker and owned the Norris and Brock Company at the Cincinnati
Stockyards. Mr. Cross was a member and past president of the
National Livestock Exchange, past director of the National
Livestock and Meat Board, past president of the Carthage Fair
Board and past master of the College Hills F&AM. He was
a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Penntown.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29 from 10:30 a.m.
- 1:00 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ in Penntown
with funeral services immediately following at the church
with Rev. Craig Amlin and Rev. Juanita Walpe officiating.
Burial will be in the St. John United Church of Christ cemetery
with military graveside rites.
Memorials may be made to the St. John United Church of Christ
or to Sunman Rescue 20.

Geneva Westsmeier
Geneva Westmeier, 80, of Ver-sailles passed away Saturday,
June 17, 2006 at the Mercy Mt. Airy Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born in the St. Magdalene community near New Marion
on January 18, 1926 the daughter of John and Margaret Kieffer.
She was married to Aaron Westmeier on July 12, 1947 and he
survives.
Other survivors include one son Bill Westmeier and his wife
Mary of Versailles; two daughters, Linda Hillman and her husband
Terry of Connersville, and Pat Reese and her husband Paul
of Milan; six grandchildren and two great-grandsons; two brothers,
Arthur Kieffer of New Marion and Walter Kieffer of Versailles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter
Clarissa Westmeier, brothers Paul, David, and Martin Kieffer,
and her sister Lucille Colley.
Mrs. Westmeier was a member of the St. Magdalene Catholic
Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening,
flowers, and her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 21 at
10:00 a.m. at the St. Magdalene Catholic Church in New Marion
with Father Frank Eckstein officiating. Burial will be in
the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be
today, Tuesday, June 20 from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter
Funeral Home in Versailles with Rosary services at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the St. Magdalene Catholic Church
or St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Olean in care of the

2006.

Marcella R. Wolf
Marcella R. Wolf, 82, of Os-good passed away Saturday, June
17, 2006 at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. She was
born October 29, 1923 in Kentucky, the daughter of Charles
and Martha Hawkins Reynolds, both deceased. She married Russell
Edwin Wolf and he preceded her in death on March 29, 1984.
Survivors include sons Charles of Ohio; Gerald of Colorado;
James of Indiana and Paul of Illinois; daughters Kathy Veatch
of Illinois and Melissa Whalbring of Indiana; ten grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers Elliott and Robert Rey-nolds.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 24 at Neals
Funeral Home, 306 S. Walnut Street, Osgood, with calling from
10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

Thornton Mallory
Virginia Margaret Thornton Mallory, 85, of Dillsboro, formerly
of Vevay, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Waters Dillsboro-Ross
Manor. She was born May 14, 1921 in Shelby County, Kentucky
the daughter of Lowry and Hattie (Sullivan) Thornton. She
married Howard C. Mallory on March 19, 1935 in Frankfort,
Kentucky and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1999.
Survivors include one son, Howard Junior Mallory and wife
Dorothy of Dillsboro; one sister, Ama Fleek of North Bend,
Ohio; three grandchildren, Steven Mal-lory and wife, Carolyn;
Mike Mal-lory, Lisa Kirk and her husband Randy; four great
grandchildren, Amy, Kristina, Tyler and Stepha-nie; one great-great
grandson, Lay-den Canary. She was preceded in death by her
parents, her husband, her infant brother and sisters, Louise
Thornton and Lena Con-nolly.
Mrs. Mallory was a homemaker and farm wife all of her life.
She enjoyed sewing and knitting. She was a member of the Long
Run Baptist Church near Moorefield and taught Sunday School
there and attended the Womens Missionary Circle.
Funeral services were held Sat-urday, June 10 at the Haskell
& Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay with Pastor Leon Walters.
Burial was in the Vevay Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Long Run Baptist Church via the
funeral home.

Dougood
Michael E. Dougood, 56, of Versailles passed away on Satur-day,
June 10, 2006 at the Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born
at Hamilton, OH, on June 9, 1950 the son of Eugene and Thecla
Kaufhold Dougood.
Survivors include his mother Thecla Walter of St. Leon; daugh-ters
Stacey Schwarte and Fawna Dougood both of Versailles; grand-children
Hayley, Hannah, and Nichaolas Schwarte; brothers Greg Dougood
of Cincinnati and Vince Dougood of Lexington; sister Josette
Sanford of Los Angeles, CA.
Mr. Dougood was employed with Hil-Rom as a machinist for 36
years. He was a Marine veteran and served in Vietnam. He was
a member of the Batesville VFW and the Versailles American
Legion.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 14 at 10:00
a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles
with Rev. Don Buck officiating. Burial will be in the Greendale
Cemetery at Osgood with military graveside rites by the Versailles
American Legion. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7:00 p.m.

Betty L. Mosley
Betty L. Mosley, 81, of Connersville, formerly of Rush-ville,
died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Reid Memorial Hospi-tal
in Richmond. She was born May 13, 1925 in Hazard, Kentucky
the daughter of William and Laura (Grigsby) Stacy, both deceased.
She married James C. Mosley on May 20, 1949 and he preceded
her in death on January 22, 1985.
Survivors include son James Michael Mosley of Marietta, GA;
daughters Rita K. Adams of Indi-anapolis; Dorothy Jean (Mrs.
David) Neukam, Marcia Ray Heath and Diana (Mrs. David) Sidell,
with whom she made her home, all of Connersville; brother
William Stacy, Jr. of Connersville; sisters Goldie Louton
of Dallas, TX and Mabel New of Milan; 21 grandchildren and
several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Terry Wayne Mosley, sister
Juanita Sparks and one grandchild.
Mrs. Mosley was a former em-ployee of Admiral Corp in Shel-byville,
3-D Store and Big Lots, and retired from the Fayette County
Senior Center in Connersville. She was a member of the Little
Blue River Church of Christ in Rushville, the American Legion
Auxiliary in Connersville and a former member of the Fayette
Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Mosley was a volunteer for
the Fayette County Senior Citizens, and avid bingo player
and reader.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 12 at the Laws-Carr-Moore
Funeral Home in Milan with Rev. LaMar Brown of the Milan Wesleyan
church officiating. Burial was at the Grigsby Family Cemetery
near Delaware.
Barbara Lois Decueber
Barbara Lois Decueber, 64, of Holton, died Thursday, June
8, 2006 at the Decatur County Memo-rial Hospital in Greensburg.
She was born September 18, 1942 in Delawanda, NJ, the daughter
of George and Margaret Kueken Wright, both deceased. She mar-ried
Richard Cornelious Decueber, Sr. and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons Richard Decueber of Greensburg; Richard
Potts of Osgood; and Robert and Rien Decueber of Holton; daugh-ters
Dawn Bridges of Starke, FL and Deborah Devers of Westport;
brother Francis Wright of Dingmons, PA; sister Lorraine Haveman
of Hawthorne, NJ; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers George and Rien Wright
and sisters Mary Ann Crane and Judith Wood.
Visitation will be today, Tues-day, June 13 from 10:00 a.m.

Aaron Isaacs
Aaron Isaacs, 58, of Sunman, passed away Thursday,
June 1 2006 at Kings Daughters Hospital. He was
born March 18, 1948 at Jackson County, KY, the son of Marshall
and Ruby Parsons Isaacs. He married Connie Mae Reece and she
survives.
Survivors also include mother Connie Isaacs of Sunman; daughter
Jessica Isaacs of Moores Hill; son Matt Isaacs of Harrison,
OH; stepsons Mike Frey of Brookville and Davy Bingham of Burnside,
KY; sister Carolyn Henson of New Fairfield; brother Rex Isaacs
of Brookville; plus several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by father Marshall Isaacs; sister
Linda and brother Otis.
Mr. Isaacs retired from Romwe-bers of Batesville after 30
years of employment.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 5 at the Cook Fu-neral
Home in Sunman Monsignor Bernard Schmitz officiating. Burial
was in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Morris.
Memorials may be given to the family toward expenses.
