Linda Smith
Linda K. Smith of Lakes Wales, FL, formerly of Milan, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 25, 2006. She was the daughter of John and Mildred Struckman.
Survivors include son Todd (Alessandra) Smith of Lakes Wales, FL; mother Mildred Struckman of Milan/Lake Wales; sister Sandy (Alvin) Fletcher of Milan; granddaughter Nichole of Lake Wales; nieces Liane Simmons of LeHigh Acres, FL and Amy Gibbs of Sunman; nephew Brandon Fletcher of Milan; great-nieces and nephew, several aunts, cousins and an uncle.
She was preceded in death by her father John Struckman of Milan and sons John, Jeffrey and Charles Gregory.
Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Milan High School and attended college at Morehead, KY. She was a carpenter by trade and worked in the Tri-State area.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hope Baptist Church in Dillsboro with Pastor Tom Holt officiating.

Terry Joe Cullen
Terry Joe Cullen, 51, of Osgood passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born at Greensburg on February 1, 1955, the son of Anson and Peggy Lou Pettigrew Cullen.
He is survived by three sons, Ryan Cullen of Osgood, Joshua Cullen and Jared "Dooz" Cullen both of Livingston, TX; two daughters, Michelle Anne Cullen of Batesville and Sierra Kay Cullen of Osgood; grandchildren Austin Michael Cullen of Signal Mountain, TN, and Andrea Michelle Cullen of Osgood; two sisters, Carolyn Elaine Linville of Osgood and Shelba Ann Wiley of Holton.
Mr. Cullen was a heavy equip-ment operator for Infrastructure of Mitchell, Indiana and also for Gwinup of Milroy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father Robert Bishop.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.

.John Edward Mink
John Edward Mink, 62, beloved husband of Edith Mink, of Clay City, KY, died Monday, June 19, 2006 at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was a native of Cincinnati, OH and the son of Lois Huff Mink of Osgood and the late Donald Mink.
Mr. Mink was an army veteran, a proud member and Sunday School Superintendent of Corinth Baptist Church and was retired from Blue Grass Army Depot.
Surviving are his three children: Allen Mink and wife Linda of Clay City, KY; Sandy and husband Todd Barrett of Winchester, KY and Mary Beth Mink of Clay City, KY; four grandchildren: Chloe Barrett, Mason Powell, Alex Mink and Parker Mink; three brothers: Don-ald of Indianapolis, Danny of Os-good and Tom of Waterford, CA; three sisters: Anne French of Os-good, Cynthia Mink of Indianapolis and Nancy Mink of Michigan.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 21 at Hearne Fu-neral Home Chapel in Stanton, KY with Pastor Steven Banks officiating. Burial is in West Bend Community Cemetery.

Ella Kennedy

Ella Kennedy, 69, of Moores Hill, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Browning’s Campground in Dillsboro. She was born September 7, 1936 in Jackson, Kentucky the daughter of John Henry and Flora (Nichols) Moore, both deceased. She married Earl R. Kennedy on January 28, 1959 and he survives.
Survivors also include sons and daughters-in-law Darrell and Eva Fugate of Versailles and Earl and Brenda Kennedy of Dillsboro; daughters and sons-in-law Patricia and Bill Brown of Loveland, OH; Edwina and Ron Carpenter of Sunman; Diana Sheets of Bear Branch and Christa and Robert Bays of Versailles; brother Asa Moore of Laurel, OH; sister Bethel Strickling of Lawrenceburg; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Mrs. Kennedy was a retired employee of Thatcher Glass.
Visitation will be Friday, June 16 from Noon-2:00 p.m. at the Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home in Moores Hill. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16 at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Crank officiating.

Charles Laddie Althoff
Charles Laddie Althoff, 77, of Bennington, died Monday, May 29, 2006 at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison. He was born July 11, 1928 in Switzerland County, the son of Dallas and Rachel (Rimstidt) Althoff. He married Donna Lea Turner of Fairview on August 20, 1950 and she survives.
Survivors also include daughters Tracy Morris and husband Terry of Garden Grove, CA and Lisa Hess and husband Dan of Irvine, CA; mother Rachel Althoff of Bennington; brothers Harry and wife Ethel of Bear Branch and Carl and wife Sandy of Fairview; sister Barbara Dowdy and husband Bill of Vevay; grandchildren William Morris, Kathryn Morris, Danielle Hess, Clayton Hess and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Dallas Ward Althoff and sister-in-law Wilma Althoff.
Mr. Althoff was a 1947 graduate of Vevay High School and attended Long Beach City College in California. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. Mr. Althoff worked as a drafting supervisor for Signal Oil & Gas in Huntington Beach, CA from 1956-1987. He was a building designer for Farmer John Meat Packing in Vernon, CA from 1987-1997. Mr. Althoff was a member of the Moores Hill Masonic Lodge #165 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, OH, National Rifle As-sociation, California Rifle & Pistol Association and Vevay American Legion Post #185.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 4 from 5-8:00 p.m. at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 5 at 1:00 p.m. at the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Bear Branch with Rev. Arnold Cutter officiating. Burial will be at the Olive Branch Cemetery in Bear Branch with full military rites conducted by the Honor Guard of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and the Vet-erans of Foreign Wars Post #5396. Daniel Patrick Mercer
Daniel Patrick Mercer, 19, Franklin, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Indianapolis on May 21, 1987 to Jeffrey R. and Pamela Kay (Kieffer) Mercer. He would have been a 2006 graduate of Franklin Community High School.
An athlete and avid outdoors-man, Daniel participated in foot-ball, wrestling, and baseball. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Daniel was a member of the Na-tional Honor Society. He was an outstanding athlete who was a state-ranked wrestler, honorable mention all-state in football, and a Division I talent in baseball.
Daniel was truly "one of a kind." He possessed a unique blend of intelligence, talent, and with that was uncommon in someone so young. He had the ability to succeed at extremely high levels irrespective of his chosen field of endeavor. He had the type of ability and charisma that could have allowed him to succeed in almost any arena. He "lit up the room" when he entered. People took notice, they couldn’t resist. He had that "special something" that made him irreplaceable.
In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his siblings, Jeff, Joe, and Anthony Mercer; grandparents Robert and Martha Kieffer and Roger Mercer; aunts and uncles, Tim and Karen Mercer, Ann and John Dicken, Bob and Regina Kieffer, Mari and Jeff Thielking, and Libby Kieffer, plus numerous cousins.
He was preceded in passing by paternal grandmother, Joan Mercer, aunt Connie Mercer and uncle Roger Mercer.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Daniel Mercer fund, Mutual Savings Bank, 80 E Jefferson St, Franklin, IN 46131. All proceeds will assist with funding for Franklin youth sports and the Indiana Bulls Baseball organization.
Calling hours will be from 1-8:00 p.m. today, Thursday, June 1 at the Parish Life Center at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Franklin. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2 at St. rose of Lima Church at 114 Lancelot Dr, Franklin, IN.

Delia Keeton
Delia Keeton, 90, of Osgood, died May 26, 2006 at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison. She was born August 28, 1915 in Saylerville, Kentucky the daughter of James and Carrie Taulbee Wages. She married Charles Keeton on April 21, 1935 and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1984.
Survivors include two daugh-ters, Ann Johnson of Osgood, Jan-nette Wright of Osgood; one brother, Floyd Wages of Cincin-nati; four sisters, Lura Lykins of Osgood, Marie Gregory of Osgood, Lillie Wages of Kentucky, Tillia Brown of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Hoy Burton, Audie Finch, Claude Burton and Vaude Wages.
She was a member of the Cedar Creek Church.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 30, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Creek Church, Osgood. Burial was in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison.
Memorials may be made to Ce-dar Creek Church.

Dorothy M. Perkins Francisco
Dorothy M. Perkins Francisco, 90, of Moores Hill, died May 24, 2006 at Ripley Crossing at Milan. She was born August 13, 1915 at Moores Hill the daughter of Louis Copeland and Bessie (Howard) Perkins. She married Ralph E. Francisco and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Margie Meyers of Moores Hill and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, two brothers, Lester and Delmar Perkins and two sisters, Cleo Ryle and Virginia McClanahan preceded her in death.
She owned and operated beauty shops in Milan and Versailles for many years.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Michael Stephen Todd, 58, of Versailles, passed away at 5:16 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Born on March 8, 1948 in Bed-ford, he was the son of John Earl Todd and Betty Jo (Bailey) Todd. He married Donna Griffin on Janu-ary 31, 1997 and she survives. He was a retired conservation officer after working in Indiana for 30 years. He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran where he served on the U.S.S. Quillback Submarine, mem-ber of the National Guard, member of the American Legion of Versailles and the National Rifle Association. An avid outdoors person Michael loved hunting, fishing and trapping.
Surviving with his wife of Ver-sailles is his mother of Bedford, IN; one step daughter, Bobbie Caudill of Batesville, IN; two brothers, John Wayne Todd of Louisiana and James Eugene Todd of Texas; two step-grandchildren, Taylor Lewis and Mike Druschel; a special friend, Jeff Watson of Bloomington, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be con-ducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 1, from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Brent O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow in the Mundell Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 31 from 2:00 until 8:00 and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the service hour at Day & Carter Mortuary.

Thomas Allan Noah, Jr., two months, of Woodridge, IL, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 at the Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington. He was born in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Downer’s Grove, IL, on March 24, 2006, the son of Thomas Allan Noah, Sr. and Danielle Toelcke and they both survive.
Survivors also include one brother Justin Toelcke, one sister Haley Prenant, both at home, paternal grandparents Melvin Thomas and Teresita Noah of Versailles, maternal grandparents Patricia and Phillip Toelcke of Downer’s Grove, IL, great paternal grandfather, Thomas Neil Noah of Tazwell, TN, great maternal grandmother, Mary Davies of Lumbard, IL.
