Annexation was again discussed at the Osgood Town Board meeting held August 15. Paul Morris apologized for not being at the last meeting. Morris owns the mobile home park on Fairgrounds Road that the town wants to annex. He stated he would fill out the paper work for annexation and turn it in, in a few days.

Osgood Town Attorney Mary Ann Gay addressed the issue of Thomas and Skinner not signing up for the annexation. A letter will be sent to them. Gay requested a special meeting be set up with the council to prepare a fiscal plan for annexation.

Tony Wood, wastewater superintendent, reported they will wait on the sewer extension work until after the Osgood 2006 Celebration. Bids will be published for the remainder of work to be done on the Sewer Inflow and Infiltration project. Wood was also instructed to set up a meeting with Best Metal Finishing over the additional testing that will be required.

Street Superintendent Steve Wilhoit stated they are getting the town cleaned up for the Osgood 2006 celebration. He would like to have extra dumpsters brought in for the event. Dave O’Mara will loan the town some barrels to use when they shut down the streets. There is some tree trimming and removal needed. The council asked Wilhoit to check with Hughes Tree Service to check on the cost. Wilhoit would also like to hire a couple of helpers for the next three weeks.

All three town board members were present: Jeff Volz, Paul Struckman and Linda Krinop. Attorney Mary Ann Gay and Clerk-Treasurer Tammy Wilhoit were present to advise the board. The next regular meeting of the Osgood Town Board will be September 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Osgood Town Hall.
