At the regular business meeting
of the Osgood Historical Museum held October 19, several items
were discussed, among those the hours for the facility.
According to information from Sandra Gloyd, it was decided to
continue with the hours that have been used the past month.
The museum will be open on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.;
Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday from noon until
4:00 p.m.
The museum will be operated entirely by volunteers. Anyone who
is interested in helping should call 689-1876.
President Bill Gloyd presided over the meeting where it was
agreed that the museum would join the Osgood Merchants Association.
They will cooperate with them on planned events in Osgood.
Ed Neuman was appointed to represent the museum at these meetings.
The first event will be the Merchant's Christmas Tour set for
December 1 and 2.
Christmas plans were made to decorate a tree in the early style
used in Osgood. Outside decorations at the museum were also
planned. The museum is located on US 421 (Buckeye Street) in
Osgood.
The next meeting is planned for November 16 in the museum with
a special program presented by Delbert Abplanalp. The subject
will be on the 'plank road.' Everyone is invited to this meeting
at the museum.
