Lady Raiders silence the Tiger roar

With the opening National Anthem being sang by Raider student Tori Clayton, the Lady Raiders played for a victory. They varsity battled the Lady Tigers of Lawrenceburg at SRHS on Tuesday, December 5, to a final score of 49-35. The reserve game went to Lawrenceburg by the final score of 35-19.
Scoring by quarters were SR 14-8, SR 29-11 at halftime. The third quarter results were SR 35-19, with the final SR 49-35.

Eagles annihilate the Spartans by 50

Young Eagle warrior Matt Gehl erupted for a 21 point game, to lead the attack on the Southwestern-Shelby Spartans in their 85-35 victory. The game played at SW Shelby on Friday, December 1, proved to be a positive trip for the Eagle team.
The 85 points by the Eagles were put on the books by Matt Gehl with 21, Andrew Wagner with 12, Blake Sutton with 11, and tieing with 10 each were Thomas Wenning and Brandon Gehl.
Single digit scoring by the Eagles came from Tucker Brown with 7 and 6 apiece for Justin Huff and Daniel Leonetti. Not scoring in the game were Coty Horn, Eric Horan, and Andrew Huff.
Spartan scoring was from, Brody Phelps with 9, with 6 each by Troy Baute and Travis Gadis. Danny McCraken added 5, Jacob Wise scored 3, and Jones, Salter, and Coffman each put on 2 apiece.
Not scoring for the Spartans were, Sykes, Green, Tucker, Turner, and Parker.
The next games for the Eagle boys is set for Friday, December 8 at North Decatur with a Saturday , December 9 match vs Trinity Lutheran at Jac-Cen-Del. Both games are set for 6 PM starts.
