Tip leads officers to marijuana plants, Holton man arrested

Holt, officers received a tip and worked together to make the arrest. Sheriff Bill Davison said the tip came in Monday afternoon and the arrest was made later that night. When arriving at the scene, officers found several mature marijuana plants, marijuana in the processed form and drug paraphernalia. Anthony J. Roberts, 36, of Holton was arrested without incident and incarcerated at the Ripley County Jail, pending bond, for possession of marijuana in the amount greater than 30 grams, cultivating marijuana in the amount greater than 30 grams, dealing marijuana in the amount greater than 30 grams and possession ofmMarijuana, with a prior conviction. The charges are all D felonies. The mature marijuana plants have a $1,000 street value.
