Gary Franklin, Sports Writer

Saturday, April 26, found the Jac-Cen-Del Varsity Baseball Team in action against the Hauser Jets at Hauser for a double header. With it being JCD's prom night, many things were probably running through the players minds as they met their foes.
The first game ended with Hauser taking the game in six and a half innings, 6-2. However, a reality check kicked in for the Eagles by the second game, as they took it to the Jets winning game two 15-3 in just five full innings of play by the Ten Run Rule.
Game One
Senior Brock Billman opened from the mound for the Eagles in game one, facing 31 batters over the 6 1/3 innings he pitched. Billman was charged with the 6 runs scored against him (3 earned) on 5 hits (including a Home Run), where he walked two and struck out three Jet batters.

In continuing their reign as a complete and solid unit, the Lady Eagles face competition one by one, meeting the challenges presented them as they go.
Lady Eagles vs Lady Cubs
On April 21, they traveled to Madison Consolidated High School, where they met the Lady Cubs to claim a 5-3 win.
The Lady Eagles scored four runs in the first and added one more in the second, but were unable to add to their count for the balance of the game. However, they only allowed the Lady Cubs one run in the first inning, one more in the fifth and a third in the seventh.
