JCD Eagles are victorious over Shawe

To the tune of 15-9, the Eagle varsity rattled their bats at the visiting Madison Shawe Hilltoppers, who came calling on Wednesday, April 30.
Behind six innings of senior Brandon Gehl at the mound and a seventh inning closing by senior David Busch, the Eagles claimed the win. Gehl faced 29 batters, allowing 7 runs (3 earned) on 7 hits, had 7 K's walked 2 and hit one. Busch faced 5 batters in the top of the seventh, gave up no hits, hit a batter, walked and struck out a batter and was charged with 2 runs, one earned).

Raider speedster Erik Demaree signs Letter of Intent to NKU

On Thursday morning, May 1, with pen in hand posed to sign his name, senior South Ripley Raider Erik Demaree joyfully signed his Letter of Intent to attend Northern Kentucky University, located in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
"E", as called by his classmates and friends, will major in Criminal Justice and be a part of the ROTC program.
Demeree completed the National Guard Basic Training Program last summer at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Following his high school graduation and the completion of his AIT training beginning this July, as a student at NKU, Demaree has agreed to join their track & field team, where he may continue his athletic endeavors.
The South Ripley sports department will miss the continual positive production and attitude of Demaree as next years athletic seasons proceed. Congratulations & Good Luck "E".
