Kendra Deanna Goff
Kendra Deanna Goff, 14, of Milan, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. She was born on March 3, 1994 in Lawrenceburg the daughter of Robert C. and Maryleah (Goff) Hartman of Milan.
Survivors include her parents; sister, Shana McGuire of Vevay; maternal grandparents, Ron and Charlene Goff of Vevay and Sharon and Dave Watson of Sunman; paternal grandparents, Robert and Dottie Hartman and Glen and Ella Walter, all of Sunman; and paternal great grandmother, Ruby Steinhauser of Sunman.
Kendra was a freshman at Milan High School. She was an Indiana and Ohio State Champion in Female Youth Archery. Her desire was to be a future Olympic contestant. She was a member of the Indiana Field Archery Association and the National Archery Association. She was also a member of the Milan Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, at 11 a.m. at Milan Church of Christ, with Shawn McMullen officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery south of Moores Hill. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the church. Memorials may be given to the family. Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home in Moores Hill is in charge of arrangements.

Rae Donna Deanna Harris
Rae Donna Deanna Harris, 41, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 11 a.m. at West Fork Baptist Church in Ripley County with Rev. David Blazier officiating. Burial will be in the West Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday. Memorials may be given to the Rae Donna Harris Memorial Fund, contribution cards are available at the funeral home. Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Howard C. Risk
Mr. Howard C. Risk, age 86, of Madison, a former Ca-naan resident, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Hickory Creek of Madison in Madison. He was born on February 11, 1922, in Canaan, the son of William Stuart "Bill" & Virgie Mae Williams Risk. He was united in marriage on May 29, 1943, in Canaan to LaVonna Mae Risk and she survives.
Other survivors include: daughter: Shirley A. Kennedy and husband David L. Jr. of Greensboro, GA; sons Richard "Dick" Risk and wife Candi of Canaan and Larry E. Risk and wife Elaine of Henryville; brother Carl S. Risk and wife Edith of Canaan; sister Marilyn Armstrong and husband Andy of Vevay; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was pre-ceded in death by his parents, his infant brother and foster brother Jim Phil-lips.
Mr. Risk was raised in Canaan and was a 1939 graduate of Central High School and attended Indiana University. Howard began a career with the ASCS in Jef-ferson County, later moving to the Federal level, serving as district director over 12 counties, completing 28 years of service. He also worked as a sub-mail carrier at the Canaan Post Office for several years.
Mr. Risk was a member of the Canaan Masonic Lodge #581 F & AM and had served as Worshipful Master in 1958 & 1985; a member of Madison Chapter #530, Order of Eastern Star and had served as Patron in 1960; the Madison Moose Lodge #765; the Indian Kentuck Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon and was raised in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on Hall's Ridge.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 16, at 11:00 a.m., by Rev. Ed Roberts at the Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church, 4413 East, 925 North near Canaan. Interment will fol-low in the Canaan Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church. Madison Chapter #530, Order of Eastern Star will conduct services on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Ca-naan Masonic Lodge #581 F & AM will conduct Masonic services on Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Indian Ken-tuck Baptist Church. Cards are available at the funeral home. Morgan & Nay Fu-neral Centre in Madison is in charge of arrangements.

Clarence H. Hornberger
Clarence H. Hornberger, 88, of Lawrenceville, died Monday, August 4, 2008. Visitation will be held today, Thursday, August 7 from 4-8:00 p.m. at St. Jacobs United Church of Christ, Blue Creek. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Peter Frye officiating. Burial will follow in St. Jacobs Cemetery with graveside military honors conducted by the American Legion Post #464, St. Leon.

Anna E. Anderson, 64, of Negangard’s Corner, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, August 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home in Sunman. Burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery.
