Bulldogs sweep '08 Ripley County Cross Country Meet

The 2008 Ripley County Cross Country Meet was hosted by
Jac-Cen-Del High School on Thursday evening, September
4. The meet opened with the girls' race followed by the
boys' run.
Early on it became obvious that the Bulldogs would be
a tough competitor for the other runners. Their girls
crossed the finish line for first, second, third, fifth,
seventh, ninth and 27th.
The boys race would render near the same conclusion with
Bulldogs finishing in first, second, third, fourth, sixth,
seventh and tenth positions.
The Lady Bulldog team's total score was 18, the Jac-Cen-Del
Lady Eagles finished at 62, South Ripley Lady Raiders
third at 64 and Milan's Lady Indians had 84.
The Bulldog boys' team scored 16, South Ripley's Raiders
52 and Jac-Cen-Del's Eagles had 69. Milan posted no team
score with only one male runner.
Lady Raider Lakin Davis' round of 72
earns ORVC Medalist honor

South Ripley Golf Coach Greg Huntington reports that his
junior Lady Raider golfer Lakin Davis set new school records
for both the 9 and 18 hole round in her ORVC competition
at the Spring Hills Golf Course in Hanover on Saturday,
September 7, during the 2008 ORVC Conference Meet.
Davis had back to back rounds of 36 for a total of 72
after 18 holes, defeating her closest rival by 12 shots.
Davis earned the number one spot on the conference team
with her score, while teammate Kaitlyn Black finished
sixth overall in the slate of All-Conference members.
