Take a beautiful, scenic fall drive, four miles west of Dillsboro on SR 62 in Farmers Retreat. Visit a completely restored, one-room schoolhouse museum. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, it was restored in 1950 and built in 1888. We invite fourth grade teachers to bring their students for field trips, or any other groups. A 5K Run/Walk “And the Beat Goes On” will be held at Walhill Farm in Batesville at 10 a.m. on Sat. Oct. 25. Proceeds benefit Giving Hearts a Hand, which provides cardiac screenings for local youth.
