The Jacob Scare Haunted Woods
The Jacob Vogel Memorial Haunted Woods “The Jacob Scare” will be held every Friday and Saturday night from Friday, Oct. 17 through Saturday, Nov. 1 from 8-11 p.m. (weather permitting). “The Jacob Scare” is located at 3530 East Olean Road off State Road 129 south of Versailles. The funds are being raised for the Jacob Vogel Memorial Fund, an Endowment Fund within the Ripley County Community Foundation to benefit the fund.

Fear Factory
A former furniture and coffin factory in Batesville has been converted into a haunted house. Open on weekends (Friday and Saturdays) in October from 7-10 p.m. Located at RomWeber Marketplace.

One Room Schoolhouse Museum

Take a beautiful, scenic fall drive, four miles west of Dillsboro on SR 62 in Farmers Retreat. Visit a completely restored, one-room schoolhouse museum. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, it was restored in 1950 and built in 1888. We invite fourth grade teachers to bring their students for field trips, or any other groups. Wild West Storytime at Milan Library
Join the Milan Branch Library for a free seven-week storytime session each Thursday at 11 a.m. This Wild West storytime session runs through Thursday, Oct. 30. Storytime is for ages 2-6. Tyson UMC ‘Trunk or Treat’
Tyson United Methodist Church will hold “Trunk or Treat” on Friday, Oct. 31, from 5-7 p.m. at the Tyson United Methodist Church on Tyson Street in Versailles.

‘Haunted Gym’ at in Versailles

The “Haunted Gym” will take place at the Tyson Activity Center on Friday, Oct. 31, from 8 p.m. until midnight. Proceeds benefit TAC programming. Tyson Activity Center is located at 100 N. High Street in Versailles.

Solid Rock Harvest Festival
Solid Rock Bible Fellowship Church Harvest Festival will be held on Friday, Oct. 31 from 6-10 p.m. There will be games, prizes, movie and much more! Please wear costumes! St. John’s Lutheran Church holiday bazaar
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmers Retreat will hold a holiday bazaar and country store on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be a quit raffle on Sunday. Lunch is available on Saturday and Sunday. Freewill offering. The church is located 4 miles west of Dillsboro on State Road 62 in Farmers Retreat. Proceeds go to the missions.

November 2

Dinner at St. Peter’s in Osgood
St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Osgood will hold a ham and sauerkraut dinner sponsored by the men’s club on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Freewill offering. Carry-outs available. The church is located at 700 North & Finks Road in Osgood. Everyone is welcome.

Solid Rock Bible Fellowship celebrates
The Solid Rock Bible Fellowship Church will celebrate their new expansion with an open house on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 3-7 p.m. There will be food and live music. This is a free event. The church is located at the corner of Harrison and Monroe Streets in Napoleon.

Holton Masonic Lodge dinner
The Holton Masonic Lodge will sponsor a pulled pork dinner on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Holton Community Building. Freewill offering to benefit the lodge’s scholarship fund.

Voters prayer meeting in Napoleon
There will be a voters prayer meeting at the Napoleon United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m., with a video presentation of David Barton’s “The Duty of a Free Citizen.” The church is located at 8794 North Harrison Street in Napoleon. The Osgood Public Library will have a book sale on Friday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be paperbacks, hardbacks, movies and magazines. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

St. Maurice Fall Smorgasbord
St. Maurice Church in Napoleon will hold their annual Fall Smorgasbord from 4-7:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-12 and free for 5 years old and younger. A raffle drawing will be held at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Kramers to perform at Hopewell Baptist
The Kramers family music group will perform at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Holton on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m.

Tri-Kappa Arts & Crafts Bazaar

A monthly non-food distribution for those in need will be held on the third Saturday at Tyson United Methodist Annex located at 107 N. Adams Street in Versailles. The distribution will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Back Door Friends of Faith serves anyone in the South Ripley and Jac-Cen-Del school districts. Please bring a picture I.D. for identification.
