First Friday event in Vevay
The Switzerland County Tourism will host a “Lovin’ Life’ game during the February 6 Vevay’s First Friday. The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. at the Visitor’s Center at 128 West Main Street in Vevay. Along with the game, youths can pick up free balloons and create a make-it, take-it flower from tissue paper (while supplies last). St. Jacob’s fish fry
St. Jacob’s UCC in Blue Creek will have a fish fry on Friday Feb. 6, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Freewill offering, everyone welcome and carry-outs are available.

Farmers Mutual Insurance meeting
The Local Farmers Mutual Fire and Lightning Insurance Company will hold their annual meeting on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 10 o’clock. The meeting will be held at the Osgood Town Hall.

Friendship Vol. Fire Dept. dinner
The Friendship Vol. Fire Dept. will have a ham and potatoes dinner on Sunday, Feb. 8, at the firehouse in Friendship. Breakfast will be served from 8 – 11 a.m. and dinner will be served from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Napoleon community blood drive
There will be a community blood drive in Napoleon at St. Maurice’s Parish Hall on Monday, Feb. 9, from 1 – 6:30 p.m. Donors must be in good health, at least 17 years old, over 110 pounds and bring a picture ID. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome. South Ripley Sunshine Society food pantry

The South Ripley Sunshine Society “Raid R Pantry” food pantry will be open from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month from February until May as follows: February 5, March 5, April 2 and May 7.

Lyme Disease support group

Sharing ideas in managing your life around chronic Lyme Disease. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Meadow Park Apartments Recreation Room in Napoleon. For more information, call Connie Kelley at 812-209-8838.

Milan Library Kids Book Club

Back Door Friends of Faith distribution
A monthly non-food distribution for those in need will be held on the third Saturday at Tyson United Methodist Annex located at 107 N. Adams Street in Versailles. The distribution will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Back Door Friends of Faith serves anyone in the South Ripley and Jac-Cen-Del school districts. Please bring a picture I.D. for identification.

Indiana federal employees meeting
The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association, Indiana Chapter 0813, has a monthly meeting at 10 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Ponderosa Steakhouse located at the corner of North Lincoln St. and Fourth St. in Greensburg. The Ripley County Food Pantry located at the Ripley Co. Fairground, Bldg. 16C, in Osgood, will be open on the third Monday of each month from 9-12 a.m. and 5:30-7 p.m. The mobile pantry will be open on the first Friday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., also at the fairgrounds in Osgood.
