9th Annual Women’s Shoot
The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association will have the 9th Annual Women’s Shoot from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26, at the range in Friendship located at 6491 The shoot is for women and run by women. New Marion cemetery benefit
There will be a benefit supper for the New Marion Cemetery on Saturday, April 25, at the New Marion Baptist Church Annex. A supper will be served at 5 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. The event is open to anyone interested in the preservation of the cemetery.

Indiana author at Osgood
Indiana author Kelsey Timmerman will be at the Damm Theatre in Osgood on Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m. For more information call 812-689-4011. The event is presented by the Osgood Public Library and Indiana Humanities.

Free carnival in Versailles
There will be a free Family Christian Carnival on Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Tyson Recreation and Activity Center located on 100 S. High Street in Versailles. The event is sponsored by the Indiana United Methodist Churches.

Plant swap at Osgood and Milan libraries
The Osgood and Milan libraries will have a perennial swap on Saturday, April 25 through Friday, May 8. Divide and bring extras to the library and trade for something new. Please bring plants in containers with identifying markers.

S.E. Indiana Right to Life meeting
The S.E. Indiana Right to Life will meet Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. at the Church of Christ on Jarvis Drive in Versailles. The business meeting is followed by a time of educational discussion and fellowship. Everyone is welcome.

ALA Leora Weare #173 meeting
The American Legion Auxiliary Leora Weare Unit 173 will meet Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m. at the post home. Members please note the time change. Penny Schornick is the hostess.

Baron Hill to speak in Sunman
The Ripley County Democrats will host the Jefferson-Jackson Dinner on Thursday, April 30 at the Sunman American Legion. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. and dinner starts at 6 p.m. Baron Hill will be speaking. There is a ticket charge. Versailles Farmers’ Market meeting
There will be a public meeting for the Versailles Farmers’ Market on Thursday, April 30, at 6 p.m., at Versailles Town Hall. Market rules will be discussed. The market is expected to open at the end of the month on Saturday mornings throughout the summer.

Free concert in Batesville
An after-hours concert featuring “Jan Aldridge Clark & The Hip Harp Trio” will take place on Friday, May 1 to kick off the Sawdust Days Festival. There is no admission charge. Rummage sale in Napoleon
St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon will have a rummage sale at the parish hall on Friday and Saturday May 1 and 2. Hours are Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon. Saturday is bag day. The church parish hall is located on Hwy. 229 in Napoleon.

Free festival in Batesville
The Sawdust Days Festival kicks off at the Batesville Public Library on Friday, May 1, with a free concert. Music starts at 7 p.m. On Saturday, May 2, the festival moves to downtown Batesville. All proceeds go to the Batesville Rotary Club’s local and international service projects. There is no admission charge. Book sale at Osgood library

Spaghetti dinner fundraiser in Olean
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Olean will hold a spaghetti dinner on Sunday, May 3 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. All proceeds go to Ripley County Relay for Life. Freewill donation. Dine in or carry out.

Napoleon seniors meeting
The Napoleon seniors will meet at the Napoleon Community Building on Tuesday, May 5 at 6 p.m. Bring table service and a covered dish.

May 7

St. John’s meeting and coffee social
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Napoleon will have their monthly meeting and coffee social with a full menu on Thursday, May 7. This will be the last one for the season. Serving starts at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Carry-outs are available.

Rummage sale in Osgood
St. John’s Catholic Church in Osgood will have a large rummage sale on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. Hours are Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. The church is located at 331 S. Buckeye Street in Osgood. Sponsored by St. John’s Catholic Ladies’ Society.

Mother’s Day Tea in Napoleon
There will be a Mother’s Day Tea Saturday, May 9 at 4 p.m. at Solid Rock Bible Fellowship Church in Napoleon. There will be a movie “Mom’s Night Out” after the tea. Children are welcome, and babysitting will be provided during the movie. The church is located at 8764 N. Napoleon / Harrison Street in Napoleon. Please RSVP at 812-852-2172 before May 1.

Plant sale fundraiser in Dillsboro
There will be a plant sale on Saturday, May 9 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the U.S. Bank location in Dillsboro. The sale is sponsored by Dillsboro Prayer Walkers, a Dearborn and Ohio counties Relay for Life team.

Naturalist course at Muscatatuck NWR
Registration are now being taken for the Indiana “Master Naturalist” class that will be held at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge this spring. The class will be on Wednesday evenings in April from 6-9:30 p.m. at the Refuge Visitor Center. There is a $35 fee for the course materials and advance registration is required. South Ripley Sunshine Society food pantry
The South Ripley Sunshine Society “Raid R Pantry” food pantry will be open from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursday , May 7.

Back Door Friends of Faith distribution
A monthly non-food distribution for those in need will be held on the third Saturday at Tyson United Methodist Annex located at 107 N. Adams Street in Versailles. The distribution will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Back Door Friends of Faith serves anyone in the South Ripley and Jac-Cen-Del school districts. Please bring a picture I.D. for identification.

Ripley County Amateur Radio Club

Ripley County Food Pantry
The Ripley County Food Pantry located at the Ripley Co.
