‘Funny Little Thing Called Love’

The Rural Alliance for the Arts will presents a “Funny Little Thing Called Love” at the Batesville High School auditorium June 24 and 25 at 7 p.m., and June 26 at 2 p.m. Food and drink will not be provided. Everyone is welcome.

Versailles Lions Club Chicken Bar-B-Que
The 50th Annual Versailles Lions Club Chicken Bar-B-Que will take place Saturday, June 25 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the square in Versailles. Plus see all the classic cars at the 18th Annual American Legion Post #173 Car Show.

The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual event on Friday, July 1 from 5 p.m. to ? at the Ripley County Fairgrounds in Osgood. There will be a “Running Hog” 5K night run at Hoosier Links Golf Course on Saturday, July 2. Registration starts at 7:30 p.m. and the race begins at 9 p.m.

The Milan Baptist Church located on Main St., Milan, will have an ice cream social from 4 – 7 p.m.

Breakfast at Milan Methodist Church
There will be an all-you-can-eat breakfast at Milan Methodist Church located on Main St., Milan, Monday, July 4 from 7 – 9 a.m.

Milan Lions Club parade
Milan’s 4th of July parade is at 10 a.m. Monday, July 4. Line up begins at 8 a.m. There will be booths, activities and music in the park after the parade.

Milan Vol. Fire Dept. chicken dinner

The fire department will have a chicken dinner from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the firehouse.

Milan VFW steak dinner

There will be a steak dinner from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Milan VFW Canteen.

Rozzi's 4th of July fireworks at Milan

Fireworks by Rozzi start at dusk on Monday, July 4. Fireworks are sponsored by the Milan American Legion.

Bridge of Hope Milan food pantry
Feed My Sheep Food Pantry at the Bridge of Hope in Milan serves the community on the third Monday of every month. Doors are open from 6 – 8 p.m. A valid ID is required. For more information call 812-654-2350.

Milan Beautification meeting
Milan Beautification Committee will meet the fourth Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at Ripley Crossings in Milan. Everyone is welcome.

Senior meals in Dillsboro
LifeTime Resources has opened a Senior Nutrition Activity Center at Dillsboro Village Apartments in Dillsboro. Individuals who are 60 or over, and their spouse regardless of age, can enjoy activities and for a donation receive a hot meal Monday through Friday. Senior meals in Versailles
Tyson Senior Nutrition Activity Center located at the Tyson School Apartments, 100 South High Street in Versailles, will have meals, activities and fellowship for anyone 60 years of age and over Monday through Friday. Mealtime is 11:30 a.m. and reservations are required. Donations are expected for the cost of the meal. For more information and to make a reservation call 812-689-1516 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Christian support group meeting

“Celebrate Recovery” a new Christian-based support group for those with addictions or life issues is held every Tuesday evening at the Bridge of Hope on SR 129/US 50 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. for fellowship.

Historical Society archive hours
The Ripley County Historical Society Archive Building located on the courthouse square will be open Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Milan Food Pantry will be open every Tuesday morning from 9 – 10 a.m. and Tuesday evening from 5 – 7 p.m.
