‘The Jacob Scare’ haunted woods
The Jacob Vogel Memorial Haunted Woods “The Jacob Scare” will be held every Friday and Saturday night from Friday, Oct. 17 through Saturday, Nov. 1 from 8-11 p.m. (weather permitting). “The Jacob Scare” is located at 3530 East Olean Road off State Road 129 south of Versailles. The funds are being raised for the Jacob Vogel Memorial Fund, an Endowment Fund within the Ripley County Community Foundation to benefit the fund.

One Room Schoolhouse Museum

Take a beautiful, scenic fall drive, four miles west of Dillsboro on SR 62 in Farmers Retreat. Visit a completely restored, one-room schoolhouse museum. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, it was restored in 1950 and built in 1888. We invite fourth grade teachers to bring their students for field trips, or any other groups. The museum is open each Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. during October. For more information call 812-432-5401 or 812-667-5330. The museum is open at others times by appointment.

Wild West Storytime at Osgood Library
Join the Osgood Public Library for a free seven-week storytime session running each Monday at 4 p.m. This Wild West storytime session runs through Monday, Oct. 27. Storytime is for ages 2-7. Fear Factory
A former furniture and coffin factory in Batesville has been converted into a haunted house. Open on weekends (Friday and Saturdays) in October from 7-10 p.m. Located at RomWeber Marketplace.

Recycled Art Shows
The Infinity Recycled Art Shows will be Sat., Oct. 18 at the Welcome Center in Versailles; Sat., Oct. 25 at Tangerine Tambourine in Milan. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

St. Peter’s UMC soup supper

St. Peter’s United Church of Christ will hold a soup supper on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The church is located at the corner of W. County Rd. 700N and Finks Rd. in Osgood. All are welcome. Freewill offering.

‘Walk to Remember’ in Oldenburg
In honor of National Pregnancy and Infant Awareness Month, a special walk is being held on Saturday, Oct. 18, for families who have lost babies through miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. Versailles Baptist chili supper

The Versailles Baptist Women Ministries will hold a chili supper and country store on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Versailles Baptist Family Life Center. Freewill offering.

Niki Davis benefit
A benefit for Niki Davis will be held Saturday, Oct. 18 from 2-9 p.m. at the Holton Community Building. Paranormal investigation at Versailles
The library in Versailles will present the paranormal group Professional Paranormal Investigations on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. in the library conference room. There will be door prizes and a drawing. Admission is free, and the presentation is approximately 90 minutes. The presentation is geared toward adults. Cross Plains Church of Christ revival
The Cross Plains Church of Christ will hold their Fall Revival from Sunday, Oct. 19 through Friday, Oct. 24 Evangelist Ray Bennett will be preaching every evening at 7 p.m. There will be special music at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. The church is located on State Road 62 south of Cross Plains.
